SPDC symbol of ‘state terrorism’: exiled group

The Democratic Alliance of Burma has accused the SPDC of practicing ‘state terrorism,’ in its statement which marks the genocide on university students demonstrating peacefully this day, 44 years ago.
On July 7, the brutal military regime killed university students demonstrating peacefully without weapons. The University of Rangoon was awash with blood on July 7, the statement said.
The regime led by Senor Gen Than Shwe has broken all ethics relating to freedom of the public and their representation of the states or the country, according to Dr Kyaw Nyunt, the secretary of Democratic Alliance of Burma.
“Nobody has any freedom. For instance, a Deputy General’s house in Rangoon was also put on the list of family members and their photographs compiled by the junta. He was mentioned in the list as having gone to Kyat Pyi,” said Dr Kyaw Nyunt.
According to a Mon leader, all residents of Rangoon were put on family lists and their photographs taken. While they have no idea why, the authorities want to keep track of who is entering and who is leaving the city.
Dr Kyaw Nyunt said “The residents cannot travel freely like normal and ordinary human beings and are coerced into following the regime’s order.”
The statement urged students and members of the public in Burma to uphold the spirit of July 7 and put an end to the regime’s system in Burma.
Dr Kyaw Nyunt said that July 7 was the day when the real face of the regime was exposed. And it was the day when the regime shed blood killing students who led the fight for freedom.
Again July 7 was the day when the regime was intimidated and was afraid, he added.
The inhuman events will continue to happen as long as the regime has the strength, the statement said.
