Moulmein University students ordered back home
Mon 24 Sep 2007, IMNA
Moulmein University students have been ordered by the Military Southeast Command to go home after their examinations, sources in the university said.

University teachers have been asked to take responsibility and the teachers have to ensure that the students have reached their homes.

"It seems that the Southeast Command is worried that the students will join the protest by monks," a student said.

The students have to finish their examinations but they are interested in the Rangoon protests. They have been listening to the radio.

Yesterday about 60 monks from Thein Phyu monastery and Seinn Ma Ma monastery went to Zay Gyi (Myaing Yadano market) at about 3 p.m. Many residents donated food and other commodities. The group of monks went to Kyaik Than Lan.

Many monks in Mon state also are also gearing up to join the Rangoon protests today.
