"About Independent Mon News Agency (IMNA)"

Independent Mon News Agency is formed by former Mon students, youth and democratic activists based in Mon State, Union of Burma in 1999. Members of the agency are not affiliated to any political organizations.

Independent Mon News Agency (IMNA) is based in Thailand and Burma that founded by youth of Mon ethnic nationality in Southeast Asia. IMNA is a non-profitable news agency and covering news a bout Mon Community in Thailand, Mon Community in Burma and about Burma. IMNA is an independent Mon news agency producing fair and balance news through Internet, Mon newspaper, radio and community radio.

Every month, IMNA is publishing Mon language newspaper called Guiding Star, be targeted Mon audience in Thailand and Burma. IMNA also have Mon DVB radio program, part of the Democratic Voice of Burma that broadcasting from Norway and IMNA also producing news through via and Monnet mail list which is run by Mon community in United State of America.

IMNA also started a community FM radio in Hlockhani Mon refugee camp in Thai-Burma border. IMNA is trying to extend in Mon state, southern Burma.
