Burmese Currency Exchange Rate downs in Mon Area

The Burmese currency exchange rate has a little low down in Mon area in this week according to the money exchange businessman in Three Pagoda Pass, a small border town with Thailand.

“Burmese money is 1.70 kyat up in exchange price for Thai currency,” a main exchange shop in Three Pagoda Pass, Win Mar said.

The exchange price started low down in last week after the rain stopped truck transportation between Three Pagoda Pass an and Thanpyuzayat, because of “so few Thai exporting thing flow to Burma,” he added.

Even the raining season started hundreds of Burmese migrant workers are still continue trying to enter Thailand and the people wanted Thai currency, Baht, more than Burmese currency Kyat, said Win Mar.

“It is created the Burmese currency price down,” Win Mar added.

Today the exchange price a little bit down, it has one Baht to 23 Kyat and yesterday it had one Baht to 22.30 Kyat. For those who wanted to get Thai currency has to pay 23.50 Kyat for one Baht.

Last week the exchange rate was one Baht to 21.30 Kyat and 22 Kyat to 1 Baht.
