Q: According to six Mon groups meeting, they made agreement each other that NMSP should leave from National Convention if there is no resolution for Mon people.

A: Yes, it is a good idea and decision of six Mon groups request, but if we look the side of NMSP, we can see that they are in a fix now to leave from NC because they have made cease-fire for a longtime and also supported some fund by SPDC. Beside, Kachin, Shan and other ethnic groups have made cease-fire, also attend the NC, so it is so difficult for NMSP to refuse, but before they attend, all of the ethnic groups already drawn the plan to ask some issue to Convening Committee. Therefore, it is so early to analyze, and we should wait what will happen to NC’s next situation.

Q: Now, SPDC said that this (NC) represent for all ethnic unity, for composition together and for the first step of democracy, but NLD and activist strongly refuse and deny attending it. For the SPDC,even though many opposition groups opposed it, the SPDC never step back and try to achieve a great success. How do you think about that?

A: Many opposition groups, people around in the world are not supporting what the government doing at their NC. Even they try to go a head until they receive their goal and they decide to finish it, if the opposition groups and the world community did not accept it, there is no result.

Q: Now, I heard that three of Mon Demo released from prison, so how would your Mon Demo continue acting politic?

A: We have been acting for along time while three of Mon Demo leader are in jail,but We have no opportunities to do with distinctly after Mon Demo abolished by the government. We hope that we shall make the meeting of how should we do for the future of Mon Demo. However, we cannot approach the government for Mon Demo to be legal political party.

Q: In 1990 election, Mon Demo only won five places in the nineteen competing places. If a chance of election occurs again, do you think Mon would win more places, and how should Mon need to do?

A: I think that our Mon can extend competing area, and can win more if we have a chance to compete in the election again because Mon Demo and NMSP have negotiation and they made the unity as well as the same view for all Mon people. Beside, we have no comparison with NLD because of being the same target of goal, especially understanding each other, so we hope that we must get more places in parliament for Mon people.

Q: Would you like to urge something for Mon people, Sir?

A: Of course, I would like to urge that now both Mon Demo and NMSP have the same goals of doing for Mon development, so all Mon people should support gratefully with our Mon’s sophisticate future.
