The registration process is called Pone Zan Thit Hse in Burmese. The Township Peace and Development Council (TPDC) ordered the Village Peace and Development Council (VPDC) to do get the registration done. The VPDC in turn ordered the villagers to list their family members and put in front of the house, according to the villager from Nyaung Gone village near Paing Kama village. “The Township authorities want the list of family members to help them in their investigation without wasting time should something happen in the area,” according to sources. The TPDC gave the directive regarding the registration at a meeting before the Kanbauk- Myine Kalay gas pipeline exploded near Kwan Hlar village, according to the villager. After the blast, the authorities investigated the registered family members including Burmese from upper Burma working in the area. Travellers have also been restricted in the blast area.
